experimental investigation about the future?

My physics assignment is very hard,we need to design an experiment about the future.I have no idea about.The requirements are as below:
In the context the future ，we have studied the physics principles involved in some alternative energy that have the potential power to our future.Our study in this area has given us an insight into the way that a knowledge and understanding of physics will influence the way we live in years to come.

Let’s say you choose fusion as a topic.

You must understand the question according to the requirements first. It is now the year 2007. So, in the context of the future….let’s say that in the year 2050 you now have a doctoracte in Physics and you are having a discussing with your colegues. You tell them “we have studied the physics principles of fusion that have the potential power to our future. Our study in this area has given us insight into the way that a knowledge and understanding of physics will influence the way we live in years to come.” (you are soo full of B.S. I don’t know why you did not get to the point sooner…I wanted to fall asleep) Disregard the part in brackets, it has nothing to do with the question.

Now you complete an experiment/investigation to explore fusion further. But remember it is from the context of the year 2050 which is when you are having the disscussion with your collegues, remember (…try to keep up!)

Of course this means that you get to do your assignment based on all information up to 2007, but also up to the year 2050. So from 2008 to 2050 you will have to speak about things that will be done/was done during these years. As you probably can’t remember the future and I cannot say, you will have to make up stuff.

You can research fusion up to the information availabe up to 2007. Then based on this information, think of how it will be developed upon in the next 43 years. This should take you to what you think is the development up to the year 2050.

Now you are ready to begin (what you thought you were finished. You are soo lazy, how did you even reach this far!)
Anyway now you use the information up to 2007 plus the information you made up for the period from 2008 to 2050, and you think about how this information will be developed upon after the year 2050, which is the year that you are having this discussion.

Some topics that you can choose from:

1) Solar Energy
2) Nuclear Energy
3) Alternative Energy
4) Hydrogen, Oxygen, Water, Oil, Manure, Methane, and almost any of the other abundant gases or compounds

When a cows farts an enormus amonut of methane is produced. If anyone can harness the this to ustlise they would revolutionise the energy industry, and make more money than Bill Gates.

Deep beneath the see they have found evidence of volcanic activity. Apparently, enormus quantities of heat energy escapes from the earth. Millions of times more than one atomic bomb. Off course not all in one place. If you can harnest this energy, you will make more money that the guy who can harnest methane from cows.

Ignore what I wrote in the brackets. It has nothing to do with your assignment.

Rmember this is a theoretical physics assignment.

Document your medtods and hypotheses for the information the period for 2008 to 2050 and also for the time period after wards. At least do something for yourself. Remember what you were thought about how and when these are used and how to develop them.
