How much Government spending goes into R&D of Renewable Energy?

Where can I find how much money is spent annually on the research and development of renewable energy?

Way too much.

We have spent billions of dollars on subsidies and research into ‘alternative energy’ over the past 30 years and are essentially still in the same spot.

The fact of the matter is that unless we raise energy prices to the point where our economy is crippled and people freeze to death in the winter – alternative energy will never be viable.
